On a scale from 1 to 10 with 1 being “meh” and 10 being “drowned in feels”, I am an emotional wreck of 13.
Judai seriously looks like he could use a hug, and Jim finally catches him as he starts to fall by giving Judai an arm around him that says “Hey, we’re here for you, Judai. We love you. Please come back to us.”
It’s even more depressing to think that this is the last time we see Jim and Judai on screen together. Or at least I’m pretty sure that’s the case. I so wanted him to come back for season four instead of put on a ship. Still, I do like that he helps guide Judai back. Even though he wasn’t able to rescue Judai through their duel, he was able to help save him in the end all the same, which is rather touching.
I feel the same. I think Jim feels better and was able to leave Duel Academy knowing he was able to save Judai in the end. Despite us fans not being very satisfied, Jim was, and that counts at least.
I could believe that. It would have been nice to see how he and Judai interacted as he was still dealing with what happened, especially when we got to see O’Brien. I was glad for O’Brien’s return in season four and it just feels such a shame that they couldn’t find a way to throw Jim into the mix, but I could see him being satisfied enough knowing that he could help Judai in the end.
